Storm Song 05:34
VERSE 1: There is a Rock to build our house, Not sinking sand, but solid ground. When rains will fall and waters rise We will not drown but hold to Christ. We will not drown but hold to Christ. VERSE 2: And in this storm I will not fear, Not counting waves, but drawing near. God, in His pow’r, rebukes the tide, Says, “Peace, be still” to all my life. Says, “Peace, be still” to all my life. CHORUS: A raging storm, a mighty Lord! Our God, a refuge from all harm. Oh, let Your truth invade my doubt. And hear my cry, “I need You now.” VERSE 3: When through deep waters, called to go, Rivers of grief will not o’erflow For He is here, our trials to bless To sanctify our deep distress. To sanctify our deep distress. CHORUS: A raging storm, a mighty Lord! Our God, a refuge from all harm. Oh, let Your truth invade my doubt. And hear my cry, “I need You now.” BRIDGE: “Lord, I need You now.” “Lord, I need You now.” “Lord, I need You now.” VERSE 4: Wipes every tear from every eye, As we behold, through holy light, City of gold, dressed as a Bride. He swallowed death in eternal life. He swallowed death in eternal life.

VERSE 1: Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Your grace; Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the Mount I'm fixed upon it, Mount of Thy redeeming love. VERSE 2: Oh, to grace how great a debtor, daily I'm constrained to be. Let Thy goodness, like a fetter; bind my wandering heart to Thee. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love; Here's my heart, Lord, take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above. CHORUS: Prone to wander Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love. Prone to hear You and not heed it, prone to scorn You in Your love. Prone to wander, prone to wander, prone to wander, prone to wander… VERSE 3: Oh, to grace how great a debtor, daily I'm constrained to be. Let Thy goodness, like a fetter; bind my wandering heart to Thee. Jesus sought me while a stranger wandering from the heart of God And He to rescue me from danger used His own precious blood! BRIDGE: Come, Thou Fount, come every blessing. Come with Your love, come with Your healing. Come, Thou Fount, come every blessing. Come with Your love, come with Your healing. Come, Thou Fount, come every blessing. Come with Your love, come with Your healing. Come, Thou Fount, come every blessing. Come with Your love, come with Your healing, Come with Your healing, come with Your healing… CHORUS: Prone to wander Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love. Prone to hear You and not heed it, prone to scorn You in Your love. Prone to wander, prone to wander, prone to wander, prone to wander… FINAL BRIDGE: Come, Thou Fount, come every blessing. Come with Your love, come with Your healing. Come, Thou Fount, come every blessing. Come with Your love, come with Your healing, Come with Your healing, come with Your healing…

Seven Woes 03:42
VERSE 1: Woe to me, when I betray the words I preach, When I shut the Kingdom to others and myself, Woe to me. VERSE 2: If I taught others of You—the living God— If I taught them a dead religion, but not true faith, Woe to me. VERSE 3: Woe to me, when I swear by sacred things, When I pull You into a promise to get my way, Woe to me. VERSE 4: I can’t see the law I keep is keeping me, From love and mercy. If I lack justice my tithe is worthless. Woe to me. VERSE 5: Woe to me if I show You hypocrisy. If my cup is clean from the outside but not within, Woe to me. VERSE 6: I may look righteous, but with secrets untold, Like a whitewashed tomb on the outside, I’m dead within. Woe to me. VERSE 7: Woe to me, when I sing but don’t believe, I praise You like a Pharisee; Who can’t escape the guilt of Your judgment for killing Your prophets. Woe to me.

VERSE 1: Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art Thou my best Thought, by day or by night, Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light. VERSE 2: Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word; I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord; Thou my great Father, and I Thy true son; Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one. VERSE 3: Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise, Thou mine Inheritance, now and always: Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art. VERSE 4: High King of Heaven, my victory won, May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun! Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

VERSE 1: A mighty fortress is our God, a stronghold never failing; Our helper He, amid the flood, of mortal ills prevailing. For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe; His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate, On earth is not his equal. VERSE 2: Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing; Were not the Right Man on our side, the Man of God's own choosing. Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He; The “Lord of Hosts” His name, from age to age the same, And He must win the battle. CHORUS: If You were not on our side, If You had not bled and died for us Jesus, what hope would there be for a wretch like me? If You were not on our side? VERSE 3: And though this world, with demons filled, should threaten to undo us; We will not fear, for God hath willed His Truth to triumph through us. The prince of darkness grim, we tremble not for him, His rage we can endure, for lo! his doom is sure, One little Word shall fell him. CHORUS: If You were not on our side, If You had not bled and died for us Jesus, what hope would there be for a wretch like me? If You were not on our side? BRIDGE: And if God is for us, who can be against us? Who can stand against us, with You on our side? (REPEAT) VERSE 4: That Word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them abideth; The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him who with us sideth. Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also; The body they may kill; God's Truth abideth still, His Kingdom is forever. CHORUS: If You were not on our side, If You had not bled and died for us Jesus, what hope would there be for a wretch like me? If You were not on our side? BRIDGE: And if God is for us, who can be against us? Who can stand against us, with You on our side? (REPEAT)

VERSE 1: You alone are God, You alone are good, To You be all glory, honor and praise. You alone are God, You alone are love, You’re not like these worthless things, the idols we chase. CHORUS: May You always have our praise, May You always have our praise, We turn our hearts to Yours. VERSE 2: Give us ears to hear, Let Your voice be clear, And may we desire to follow Your way. Open up our eyes, Restore to us our sight, May all earthly strivings be counted as vain. CHORUS: May You always have our praise, May You always have our praise, We turn our hearts to Yours. May You always have our praise, May You always have our praise, We turn our hearts to Yours. BRIDGE: Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son and… (Praise Father, Son and…) Praise Father, Son and… (Praise Father, Son and…) Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

about

“I” is the first of a series of worship EP’s from The Singing Company. Featuring songs from the 6th century through modern day, it can best be summed up in the lyric, “Lord, I need you now.” This recording examines how we all need God and are insufficient without Him. Each song speaks to how we depend on the rock; are prone to wander; we’re guilty of relying on the law; our striving is losing in our own strength; God is our vision, our wisdom, our best thought; we chase after idols but need to turn towards God in worship.
