Light 04:09
VERSE 1: Children of God, your body is a lamp— Full of light so bright no darkness can hide. Sons of God, learn to guard your eyes. The chains of this world want to keep you from living in the light. VERSE 2: Church of God, seek a servant’s heart, Pour out Your love as an offering to Christ. Daughters of God, when lost in the fight— Look to the Light of the World; He will guide you through the night. CHORUS: Rust will destroy, moth will destroy, But there’s a brilliance of light in the darkest of times, That will never be overcome. VERSE 3: Wounded one, what burdens keep you down? You don’t have to bear this pain alone. Wandering child, in darkness we are blind, The Word is a lamp for your feet, if you seek then you will find. FINAL CHORUS: Rust will destroy, moth will destroy, But there’s a brilliance of light in the darkest of times, That will never be overcome. What trials we may face, our hopes they may fade, But the hope of God will withstand the night, It will set the world aflame. And rust will destroy, and moth will destroy, But His Kingdom will stand through the darkness, It will never be overcome. What trials we may face, our hopes they may fade But as the morning stars sang together, So God’s people raised their voice. But the hope of God will withstand the night, It will set the world aflame. But His Kingdom will stand through the darkness, It will never be overcome.
3.
VERSE 1: It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, When grace flows from the wounded Son, You can sing forgiveness songs. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, We’re just passing through this world, But when He comes He’ll take us home. VERSE 2: It doesn’t matter if you’re mad, Some are broken, some are glad, God will speak to where you’re at. It doesn’t matter who you were, The price was paid for all your hurts, No one can tell you what you’re worth. VERSE 3: All the treasures you hold tight, They won’t matter come the night, They will fade before your eyes. The things the Father said He’d do, The Son of man will see them through, This old earth will be made new. CHORUS: For God is love and love heals all, Oh weary soul, come hear the call, Come and see that love has won. Where hate divides, love will unite, This broken world will be made right, Come and see that love has won. (REPEAT) VERSE 4: All the promises He’s made, See them happening today, O child of God, come awake. In the end He’ll wash away, All the sorrow, all the pain, Death will pass, love will remain.
4.
VERSE 1: Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who first loved us. He destroyed sin’s power and He raised us from a life that led to death. CHORUS: No condemnation, no separation, No longer slaves but daughters and sons. VERSE 2: All creation waits for Him with eager hope, for future glory. And all things will work together for the good of those who love the Lord. CHORUS: No condemnation (no...), no separation (no...), No longer slaves but daughters and sons. VERSE 3: Who could ever stand against us when our Lord will defend? All the powers of hell can’t separate us from the love He has for us. CHORUS: No condemnation (no...), no separation (no...), No longer slaves but daughters and sons. FINAL CHORUS: No condemnation (no...), no separation (no...), No longer slaves but daughters and sons.

With Us 04:15
VERSE 1: You have rescued us from darkness, And brought us with You to the light. It's in You we have redemption, From Your death You give us life. VERSE 2: You were here before the cosmos, In You everything is made. You're the firstborn of creation, And You hold it in its place. CHORUS: Sing over us, songs of great joy. And quiet us, with Your great love. You join with us and calm our fears Our God with us. VERSE 3: You’re the image of the mystery, All God’s fullness found in Christ. You make peace out of our chaos, Into our darkness, shine Your light. CHORUS: Sing over us, songs of great joy. And quiet us, with Your great love. You join with us and calm our fears Our God with us. BRIDGE: Our God is here, He dwells with His children. Our God is here, we are holy and blameless. Our God is here, we join with creation. Our God is here, He is mighty to save us! (REPEAT) BRIDGE OUTRO: Our God is here (our God is here), our God is here.

Lament 04:37
VERSE 1: In the chaos of fire and wind, I could never hear Your voice, As high as the mountains ascend, to depths beneath the soil— You laid the foundations of Earth, Creator of the world, From You there is death and rebirth, commanded at Your Word. CHORUS 1: Holy, holy, Lord, most high how majestic is Your Name in all the earth. Holy, holy, Lord, our God, how majestic is Your Name in all the earth. VERSE 2: Maker of valley and sky, protector and savior who reigns. Shepherd of all that is right, creation sings Your praise. When thunder and lightning descend, You give shelter from the storm. The heavens and earth will declare, the greatness of You, Lord. CHORUS 2: Holy, holy, Lord, our God, the nations will declare the Lord is One. Holy, holy, Lord, our God, the nations will declare the Lord is One. Hear O Israel! Our God, Your nation will declare the Lord is One. Hear O Israel! Our God, Your nation will declare the Lord is One. VERSE 3: If I wandered this land all alone, would You find me in my need? If the pains of the flesh I can’t bear, would You ever send relief? If I cry from the highest of hills, would You listen to my prayers? Would You speak to the wounds of my soul? In the silence are You near? OUTRO: Oh (REPEAT X4)

Requiem 03:37
VERSE: I am like the morning mist— I see the sun, then vanish. I am only made of dust— The winds will take this body home. CHORUS: But You’re the One Who can hold me close, Who can love me most, So I won’t fear.
8.
VERSE 1: Right before our eyes, You made the river dry, You made a way to bring us home. Now we comprehend, Salvation by Your hand, We fix our eyes on You alone. CHORUS: We won’t forget what You’ve done for us. We won’t forget where You’ve brought us from. When satisfied, or empty inside, We’ll praise the Righteous One. We will remember what You’ve done. VERSE 2: When I lose my way, I hear You call my name, Your mercy shows Your goodness, Lord. In the wilderness, You teach obedience, We fix our eyes on You alone. BRIDGE: You open hardened hearts, To sow the seeds of love. (REPEAT X4) FINAL CHORUS: We won’t forget what You’ve done for us. We won’t forget where You’ve brought us from. When satisfied, or empty inside, We’ll praise the Righteous One. We’ll praise the Righteous One. We’ll praise the Righteous One. We will remember what You’ve done.

about

“II” is the second of a series of worship EP’s from The Singing Company. These eight original songs cover theological thoughts on creation, forgiveness, doubt, innocence, life, death and the faithfulness of God. This recording begins with a proclamation that “God is great” and ends with a promise “We won’t forget what He’s done for us.” Each song speaks its truth: there is darkness in the world but the light of God shines; we are broken but the love of God heals; there is sin but Christ is victorious over it; there is chaos but God makes peace; God is sometimes silent but always holy; our flesh will fail but God holds us close.
