Our world has a lot of gods to choose from, and our world has been shown a lot of confusing, contradictory images of our God, Yahweh. I often feel that many people far from the Lord don’t have any interest in Him, not because they don’t know who He is, but because they think they know who He is. And they’re not interested in the God many Christians have shown them.
So this song—and this album—is meant to present a scripturally based picture of our Holy God, who endured so much because of His great love for His children. It’s meant to serve as a reminder to His Church, in simple terms, of the image that we’re supposed to be showing to the world. And more than that, this song is meant to speak to those who haven’t had a chance to hear an accurate description of our wonderful, loving God.
“If you call Him, He will answer, He is not far away. Alleluia!”
